Puerto Bermúdez: centro de Salud y municipalidad lanzan campaña para eliminar de criaderos de zancudos del dengue
La actividad se desarrollará el 28 y 29 de abril en todo el casco urbano.
Para evitar que la proliferación del zancudo que transmite el dengue, el centro de Salud y la municipalidad de Puerto Bermúdez llevarán a cabo los días 28 y 29 de abril la gran campaña de eliminación de criaderos de zancudos en todo el casco urbano del mencionado distrito.
Esta información fue confirmada el médico de la Unidad Febril perteneciente al centro de Salud, Pablo Mora y la sub gerente de Medio Ambiente y Residuos Sólidos, Brenda Castro. Ambos hicieron el llamado a la ciudadanía en participar activamente de la actividad identificando y eliminando llantas, chapas, botellas o cualquier recipiente que acumule agua que se encuentren dentro de sus domicilios.
Brenda Castro detalló que, se instalarán varios puntos de acopio en los barrios Las Lomas, Las Brizas, Mangual, San Gerónimo y El Mirador. Además, se contará con el apoyo del personal municipal, maquinaria, entre otros.
Por su parte, Pablo Mora detalló que el dengue es una enfermedad transmitida por zancudo Aedes aegypti; entre los principales síntomas son: fiebre alta, dolor de cabeza, dolor ocular, sarpullido, y dolores musculares y articulares. En tanto, los signos de alarma abarcan dolor abdominal intenso y persistente, vómitos continuos, sangrado por encías o nariz, somnolencia, irritabilidad y sensación de debilidad.
También precisó que, la fumigación no es la solución a los casos reportados por dengue, ya que la mencionada acción solo acabará con el zancudo que se encuentra en su fase adulta o de vuelo. Concluyendo que reducir los espacios donde se reproduce el zancudo es la principal acción para evitar su proliferación.
