El Ministerio de Transportes y Comunicaciones (MTC) alista una adenda al contrato de concesión del Segundo Grupo de Aeropuertos, a cargo del concesionario Aeropuertos Andinos del Perú, y se prevé su suscripción durante el primer trimestre de 2026. Así lo informó el viceministro de Transportes, Juan del Carmen Haro, en la ciudad de Tacna. La adenda permitirá incorporar nuevas inversiones catalogadas como obras mayores, destinadas a garantizar adecuados niveles de servicio en los aeropuertos de Arequipa, Ayacucho, Juliaca, Puerto Maldonado y Tacna.
Durante la inspección de las instalaciones del Aeropuerto de Tacna, el viceministro de Transportes anunció que el terminal de pasajeros será modernizado con una inversión de aproximadamente 35 millones de dólares, lo que permitirá ampliar la capacidad operativa e incorporar un nuevo centro de operaciones de emergencia. La intervención incluye, además, un rediseño de la playa de estacionamiento, nuevas redes internas y un sistema CCTV de última generación.
Se estima que las obras inicien en el segundo trimestre de 2027 y se ejecuten en un plazo proyectado de 15 meses. Asimismo, se ejecutará el mejoramiento del cerco perimétrico, valorizado en más de 30 millones de dólares, que modernizará 7782 metros lineales de perímetro con iluminación y videovigilancia especializada, cuyo inicio está previsto para el cuarto trimestre de 2026.
Como parte de su agenda técnica, el viceministro también inspeccionó el nodo de distribución de la Red Dorsal Nacional de Fibra Óptica (RDNFO) en Tacna. La región cuenta con 6 nodos —incluyendo un nodo internacional— que aseguran interconexión con la red nacional y rutas de salida al extranjero. Esta infraestructura incrementa la capacidad de transporte de datos, reduce costos mayoristas para los operadores y fortalece la expansión de los servicios públicos de telecomunicaciones, como, por ejemplo, servicios móviles y de Internet.
Luego, el viceministro y su equipo técnico participaron en la sesión plenaria de la reunión de intervención multisectorial realizada en el auditorio del Gobierno Regional de Tacna. En este espacio, sectores del Ejecutivo y autoridades nacionales, regionales y locales dialogaron para priorizar necesidades y exponer los avances ejecutados por cada sector, con el fin de fortalecer la articulación del Estado en el territorio.
