Midis seguirá priorizando la alimentación saludable y respuesta rápida ante emergencias que afecten a poblaciones vulnerables
En sus primeros 30 días de gestión, la ministra Maritza Canales destacó el resideño de intervenciones de programas sociales dirigidos a la primera infancia y adultos mayores.
Conforme con las prioridades establecidas por el Gobierno, el Ministerio de Desarrollo e Inclusión Social (Midis) orientó los primeros 30 días de la nueva gestión hacia la revisión de los procesos inherentes de sus programas sociales y la reingeniería de esfuerzos para mejorar la atención brindada a poblaciones vulnerables, priorizando a la primera infancia y los adultos mayores en condición de pobreza y pobreza extrema.
Así lo informó la ministra Maritza Canales Martínez, quien destacó la renovada articulación con sectores estratégicos para potenciar la lucha contra la anemia infantil, como el Ministerio de Salud (Minsa), y la cooperación internacional representada por el Fondo de las Naciones Unidas para la Infancia (Unicef), la Organización de las Naciones Unidas para la Alimentación y la Agricultura (FAO) y el Programa Mundial de Alimentos (PMA).
“En esa línea, el Midis proyecta transferir S/71 millones a las regiones que superaron el 95 % de cumplimiento de metas del Fondo de Estímulo al Desempeño y Logro de Resultados Sociales (FED). Estos recursos beneficiarán a los 25 gobiernos regionales y a la Dirección Regional de Educación de Lima Metropolitana, fortaleciendo la calidad de servicios públicos claves para el Desarrollo Infantil Temprano”, explicó Canales.
La importancia de una alimentación saludable, mediante compras directas que incidan de manera positiva en los comercios locales, se manifestó también en el subsidio económico otorgado mediante el Programa de Complementación Alimentaria (PCA) a más de 1670 comedores populares y ollas comunes en Lima Metropolitana. Dicha transferencia permitió que las lideresas sociales adquieran alimentos frescos como carnes, huevos y verduras para más de 128 mil personas, fortaleciendo su dieta y salud.
En el caso de los colegios públicos, el Programa de Alimentación Escolar (PAE) garantizó la continuidad de servicios para lo que resta del año, mediante alimentos calientes o fríos durante cada día de clase para más de 4.2 millones de estudiantes de 66 684 instituciones educativas.
Cabe destacar que el Midis, como parte de sus intervenciones dirigidas hacia poblaciones vulnerables, también articula el acceso a alimentos para más de 26 mil personas con tuberculosis, mediante abonos con tarjetas. Esta acción se lleva adelante con gobiernos locales y el PMA, con el propósito de impulsar la recuperación integral de los pacientes.
Calidad de vida en cada etapa y circunstancia
La ministra Canales también dio cuenta de la entrega de subvenciones a más de 825 mil adultos mayores en extrema pobreza, usuarios del programa Pensión 65, y del adelanto en 14 días del pago a más de 4680 usuarios del programa Contigo, asentados en las provincias de Junín que fueron afectadas por diversos sismos.
La respuesta rápida del Midis ante emergencias también fue relevante en estos primeros 30 días de gestión, como se evidenció en las acciones desplegadas en el distrito limeño de Villa El Salvador, hasta donde los equipos territoriales llevaron más de 2.9 toneladas de alimentos y pescado fresco para la atención de 300 damnificados por aniegos causados por lluvias.
Al interior del país, la articulación eficiente y oportuna se puso en evidencia durante la ejecución de dos campañas PIAS (Plataformas Itinerantes de Acción Social) terrestres, en Cusco y Loreto, que llevó servicios esenciales del Estado a más 2000 personas en comunidades rurales. Similares resultados logró la campaña PIAS aérea en la región Loreto, donde se atendió a casi mil personas en comunidades originarias.
La ministra Canales reiteró que el Midis continuará trabajando con un renovado sentido de urgencia y empatía, “sabiendo que cada día cuenta para cambiar la vida” de una persona. Asimismo, precisó que cada entidad del sector trabajará con unidad institucional, optimizando la gestión en territorio, así como la integridad y el respeto por los recursos del Estado.
