Más de 1000 personas con discapacidad de centros poblados de Piura y La Libertad se atienden en Tambos del Midis
- A través de plataformas del programa PAIS se brindaron más de 1200 atenciones médicas y sociales en el presente año.
Los Tambos al servicio de los que más lo necesitan. Bajo esa premisa, más de 1000 personas con discapacidad de caseríos y centros poblados alejados de las regiones de Piura y La Libertad acceden a atenciones médicas y beneficios sociales y productivos en 25 de las plataformas que el Programa Nacional PAIS del Ministerio de Desarrollo e Inclusión Social tiene en el norte del Perú.
Como parte de una labor articulada en favor de la población más vulnerable, los Tambos del Midis representan el acceso a los principales servicios del Estado, logrando brindar en lo que va del presente año, más de 1200 atenciones que contribuyen a mejorar su calidad de vida en zonas rurales, sin importar la discapacidad física o motora que puedan tener.
Uno de los principales servicios que reciben es la evaluación médica especializada y posterior certificación de su discapacidad, lo cual permite su registro en el Consejo Nacional para la Integración de la Persona con Discapacidad (Conadis).
También se brinda información sobre el programa Contigo del Midis y los requisitos para ser considerado como uno de los probables afiliados que acceda a una pensión no contributiva de S/300. De igual forma, se brinda capacitación y asistencia técnica, de ser el caso, al tutor de la persona con discapacidad para que conozca todos los servicios que le corresponde a la persona vulnerable.
El fortalecimiento de su autoestima también se impulsa a través de talleres donde inician pequeños emprendimientos que les permita generar sus propios recursos económicos y, de la mano de las Oficinas Municipales de Atención a las Personas con Discapacidad (Omaped), reciben, también, orientación y asesoría ante casos de maltrato o violencia que puedan sufrir en sus hogares.
En Piura, el programa PAIS realiza esta labor en beneficio de las personas con discapacidad a través de 13 Tambos en las provincias de Ayabaca y Huancabamba. Mientras que, en La Libertad, hace lo propio en 12 Tambos ubicados en Gran Chimú, Julcán, Otuzco, Pataz, Sánchez Carrión y Santiago de Chuco.
Cabe resaltar que, el acceso a estos servicios se realiza de manera coordinada con entidades de salud en ambas regiones, las Omaped distritales, el Reniec y el programa Contigo del Midis, entre otras.
