Madre de Dios: más de 20 toneladas de potenciales criaderos de zancudos fueron eliminadas en el distrito de Las Piedras
Las brigadas de trabajo recorrieron diferentes sectores de la localidad, identificando y eliminando llantas, botellas y otros objetos que acumulan agua.
Con el objetivo de fortalecer las acciones preventivas y evitar la reproducción del zancudo Aedes aegypti, principal transmisor del dengue, la Dirección Regional de Salud (Diresa) Madre de Dios, en articulación con la Municipalidad Distrital de Las Piedras y el establecimiento de Salud El Triunfo, llevaron a cabo la campaña de recolección de criaderos logrando eliminar un total de 20 toneladas de inservibles.
La actividad se desarrolló en cumplimiento del “Plan de Prevención y Control del Dengue 2026” presentado por el Ministerio de Salud (Minsa).
Durante la jornada, las brigadas de trabajo recorrieron diferentes sectores de la localidad identificando y eliminando recipientes en desuso como llantas, botellas y otros objetos que acumulan agua y se convierten en potenciales criaderos del zancudo transmisor del dengue.
Además, se brindó orientación a la población sobre las medidas preventivas que deben adoptar en sus viviendas para evitar la proliferación del vector.
Estas acciones se desarrollan gracias al trabajo articulado que impulsa el equipo de gestores de la Dirección Ejecutiva de Promoción de la Salud de la Diresa Madre de Dios
El Minsa detalla que el dengue se transmite a través de la picadura del zancudo Aedes aegypti. Los síntomas más frecuentes son fiebre alta, dolor de cabeza, dolor muscular y articular, así como dolor detrás de los ojos; además, se presentan erupciones en la piel.
Los signos de alarma incluyen dolor abdominal intenso y persistente, vómitos continuos, sangrado, somnolencia, irritabilidad y decaimiento general.
Ante la presencia de estos síntomas y signos de alarma, el Minsa recomienda no automedicarse, mantenerse bien hidratado y acudir de inmediato al establecimiento de salud más cercano, ya que una atención oportuna permite una recuperación adecuada y evita complicaciones.
