InnovABB: Socialab y ABB en Chile buscan startups de toda Latinoamérica para escalar soluciones sostenibles
La iniciativa busca detectar y acelerar tecnologías con impacto en economía circular, reducción de la huella de carbono y formación de talento para una industria más resiliente.
Con el objetivo de acelerar la transición hacia una industria más sostenible, ABB en Chile, en alianza con Socialab, lanzó oficialmente InnovABB, convocatoria de desafíos de innovación abierta a startups y emprendimientos de toda Latinoamérica que trabajen en soluciones como: economía circular, reducción de huella de carbono y formación de talento para una industria resiliente.
El lanzamiento, realizado este jueves 7 de agosto, reunió a autoridades, emprendedores, medios y líderes del ecosistema innovador. Entre los expositores estuvieron Martín Castellucci, Country Holding Officer de ABB en Chile y Perú; Valentina González, Gerenta General de Socialab; Maricho Gálvez, Gerenta de Emprendimiento de Corfo; y Constanza Levicán, CEO de Suncast, quienes coincidieron en que la innovación colaborativa es clave para enfrentar los desafíos industriales y ambientales.
Desde su rol, Socialab —plataforma líder en el impulso de soluciones con impacto social, ambiental y económico— aportará su experiencia en la identificación de startups con alto potencial de escalabilidad y en el acompañamiento estratégico, conectándolas con una red internacional de aliados y con la infraestructura de una corporación global como ABB.
“Nuestra experiencia nos dice que las soluciones más transformadoras a menudo surgen de la visión y agilidad de los emprendedores. Pero también que necesitan respaldo para convertirse en verdaderas opciones. Eso es lo que entrega esta iniciativa: la posibilidad de escalar proyectos en un entorno real, con infraestructura y conocimientos que entrega una empresa líder y que puede marcar la diferencia”, afirmó Valentina González, Gerenta General de Socialab.
InnovABB otorgará a las iniciativas seleccionadas $5.000.000 CLP para implementar un piloto real, sumado a apoyo técnico, equipos y asesoría especializada. Además, estas soluciones tendrán la oportunidad de ser presentadas en EtM Day 2025, el encuentro internacional de innovación, emprendimiento e inversión más grande de Latinoamérica, y conectarán con redes como SwedCham, la CChSC y la Agencia de Sostenibilidad Energética.
Por su parte, Martín Castellucci destacó que ABB ha mantenido, durante sus 70 años en Chile, un fuerte compromiso con la innovación y la descarbonización industrial, estableciendo alianzas estratégicas con empresas mineras, universidades y startups para electrificar procesos, digitalizar operaciones e integrar inteligencia artificial en energías renovables.
DESAFÍOS A LOS QUE DEBEN RESPONDER LAS STARTUPS:
- Operación Cero Carbono: Reducción significativa de huella de carbono mediante monitoreo en tiempo real, mayor eficiencia energética y decisiones operativas oportunas.
- Circularidad operacional: Avances hacia una operación circular: menos residuos, revalorización de materiales y mayor vida útil de los activos.
- Talento para el futuro sostenible: Formación de nuevas capacidades técnicas en jóvenes y colaboradores para una industria más sostenible, digital y resiliente.
