Ucayali: eliminan más de 10 toneladas de criaderos de zancudos en la provincia Coronel Portillo
Actividad se realiza en cumplimiento al Plan de prevención y control del dengue para el año 2025 del Minsa
Con el objetivo de reducir la proliferación del zancudo que transmite el dengue, fortalecer la vigilancia comunitaria y proteger la salud de la ciudadanía, el Ministerio de Salud (Minsa), a través de la Dirección Regional de Salud (Diresa) Ucayali, eliminó más de 10 toneladas de potenciales criaderos de zancudos en los sectores de Nitzuma y Bolognesi pertenecientes a la provincia de Coronel Portillo.
La actividad contó con la participación del personal que labora en la Red Integrada de Salud, la Municipalidad Provincial de Coronel Portillo, brigadas de vigilancia y control vectorial, Agentes Comunitarios de Salud y de la ciudadanía.
Entre los principales criaderos eliminados se registraron llantas, baldes, cáscaras de coco y huevo, chapas, tinas, botellas, juguetes, ollas, latas y diversos recipientes capaces de acumular el agua producto de las lluvias o de un inadecuado almacenamiento dentro del hogar.
Es importante resaltar que esta acción se desarrolla en el marco del “Plan de prevención y control del dengue para el año 2025”, el cual establece para reducir la incidencia y letalidad del dengue en el país, fortalecer la vigilancia epidemiológica y mejorar la capacidad de respuesta de los servicios de salud. Asimismo, plantea intensificar las medidas de prevención y control para evitar la propagación del mosquito Aedes aegypti, con un enfoque territorial y comunitario.

Según el reporte de la semana epidemiológica n°. 48 por dengue, publicado por el Centro Nacional de Epidemiología, Prevención y Control de Enfermedades (CDC Perú), la región Ucayali registra 1004 casos por dengue y cero fallecidos.
