Lima Expresa comparte su protocolo ante incrementos del caudal del río Rímac y posible inundación de sus vías
- La empresa realizó simulacros de cierre de vías, activando todos sus equipos operativos.

Lima Expresa, subsidiaria de VINCI Highways, opera y mantiene la Vía de Evitamiento y la vía expresa Línea Amarilla bajo estándares internacionales en seguridad e innovación. Esto incluye contar con protocolos orientados a ofrecer una atención rápida y eficaz ante diversos eventos, como es el caso de una inundación por el aumento del caudal del río Rímac, priorizando la seguridad de los más de 190 mil vehículos que transitan a diario por su concesión.
La temporada de lluvias en la sierra inicia en diciembre, esto trae como consecuencia el incremento del caudal de los ríos costeros, como el Rímac. Parte de las vías administradas por Lima Expresa colinda con este río, lo que exige una gestión preventiva y una capacidad de respuesta altamente especializada. Por ello, Lima Expresa realizó un simulacro de inundación para evaluar su protocolo de acción.
Desde la gestión preventiva, Lima Expresa monitorea constantemente y en tiempo real el caudal del río Rímac mediante una plataforma. Este sistema emite tres tipos de alertas que son revisadas por el equipo de monitoreo de la concesionaria. En caso una de las alertas indique un aumento del caudal, el protocolo se activa.
Desde el Centro de Control de Operaciones de Lima Expresa, las unidades de auxilio vial y la Policía Nacional del Perú, entidad con la que la concesionaria tiene un convenio, realizan los cierres de ingreso en ambas vías y, asimismo, evacuan a los clientes y trabajadores. Para su ejecución, Lima Expresa despliega rápidamente diversas unidades operativas, entre vehículos de auxilio y grúas y suma un equipo de motorizados y efectivos policiales ubicados en puntos clave.
